Moto E series is the most popular budget smartphones from Motorola. Most people are waiting for Moto E5 and it’s finally launched in India.
Motorola launched both Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus in India with a lot of improvements and features. Both these smartphones will be Amazon exclusives and will be available starting from 11th July Midnight 12:00 AM onwards.
Moto E5 Plus is already launched in Brazil and restricted to the US market. Now, Motorola launched both of these smartphones in India.

Moto E5 Specifications
Moto E5 is the base model in E series and which will contain less powerful specs than Moto E5 Plus. Moto E5 sports a 5.7″ HD+ Max vision display (16:9) with corning gorilla glass 3 protection and the phone is made up of plastic. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. This is the first time Motorola used a Snapdragon processor in a Moto E smartphone.
Moto E5 has a single 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. While the 13MP rear camera has an aperture of 1.12µm with PDAF.
Moto E series are known for their battery capacity and battery life. Moto E5 is no exception. Moto E5 comes with a 4000mAh battery with quick charge support. Motorola will provide a 10W charger inside the box to achieve quick charging. Quick charge is also the first time in Moto E series smartphones and it’s a good thing to see in the latest Moto E smartphones.
Moto E5 Plus Specifications
Moto E5 Plus is the higher-end model of Moto E series and it comes with a 6″ HD+ Max Vision display (16:9) with corning gorilla glass 3 protection. The biggest upgrade in Moto E5 Plus is the new glass back design which looks premium and shiny. Motorola calls it a 3D polymer glass.
Moto E5 Plus is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It has a 12MP single rear camera with an aperture of 1.25µm and PDAF. To the front, it has a 5MP camera with flash.
It also has a slightly higher 5000mAh battery which Motorola claims to provide up to 18 hours of video playback on full charge. It will also come with a 10W fast charger instead of 15W Turbocharger found in other Moto smartphones.
Other Features
There are some features which are common in these both Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus smartphones. For the first time, both of these smartphones will come with Moto action which is not present in previous generations of Moto E smartphones. This is really good to see such a life-saving feature.
The most important is both of these smartphones comes with Android 8.0 out-of-box and it is fully stock Android with some tweaks like Moto actions etc and PhonePe app.
We have no idea about future updates for these smartphones as they didn’t promise any updates this time.
Motorola mostly launches smartphones with dedicated dual sim slots and a memory card slots. Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus are no exception. You can expand the storage of these smartphones for upto 128GB with an external Micro SD card.

Comming to the pricing, Moto E is priced at Rs. 9999 and Moto E5 Plus priced at Rs. 11,999. There are various exciting offers in the first 2 days of launch (11th and 12th July).
